One of the most important things to note when looking at Windows versions, is the difference between Pro and non-pro editions as well as 32-bit and 64-bit. Those differences are foundational to setting up a network correctly and installing programs correctly, regardless of the version operated.

Windows XP is not listed in the exam objectives. Why all the XP questions?

XP is no longer on the exam, they are using old material. Ignore it.

GeckoX, there are a few Windows XP related tasks that can appear, mostly for emergency repairs if you find yourself in front of one of these ancient systems. In objectives 4.1, some of these are XP issues, like Missing NTLDR.

Which chapter of the Mike Meyers book would cover this? Chapter 3 which covers operating systems does not and there doesn't seem to be much else other than troubleshooting operating systems in the later chapters.
